House exterior painting

1. When painting the exterior of a house, the most important work step is careful groundwork and washing of the surfaces to be painted. The required groundwork depends on the condition of the old paint layer. The primer painted new exterior cladding is brushed from loose debris. Peeling paint from old paint surfaces is removed by scraping or brushing with a brass brush. Soiled paint surfaces are washed with a mold remover by brushing and rinsed with running water. Bare wooden surfaces are primed.​
   
   
2. The walls and other surfaces to be painted are painted either once or twice, depending on the condition of the old paint surface and the paint used. New exterior cladding is always painted first with thinned paint, then a second layer is painted unthinned. We carefully protect other surfaces from paint spills.​
   
   Choosing the right paint is of great importance for achieving a successful end result. A solid paint surface and thickness of the paint layer are achieved with a well-planned painting schedule. A partly cloudy day is the most suitable time to paint the house, but you can also paint in the heat as long as the painting schedule is planned in advance.
